![]() ![]() The British Bulldog appeared in the WWF back in the 80's with his tag team partner "The Dynamite Kid". The team would go on to win the tag team titles. After Dynamite left the WWF Davey Boy found himself no were to be found. He returned in 1991 and had a what seem to be never ending feud with the Warlord. Bulldog was supposed to have a match at WM 8 against "The Berserker" but that match was pulled from the show when they didn't have time for it. Then in one of the most memorable matches in WWF history he beat his brother-in-law Bret "Hitman"Hart to become the WWF Intercontinental Champion. He would then lose it to Shawn Michaels. He found himself in WCW after this. He would be back in the WWF in 94. He and Shawn Michaels put up an outstanding performance at the 1995 Royal Rumble. He thought he won the match as he celebrated only to be dumped over the top rope and lose. In 1995 after that he would join Lex Luger and make the team known as "The Allied Powers". The team did have a title shot but could not win the titles. Then on a edition of Monday Night Raw he was going to team with Diesel to take on Men on a Mission, when all of a sudden The Bulldog attacks his own partner and turns heel. Davey Boy would get a major push and go on to main event Pay-Per-Views. He would also capture tag team gold one more time with the late great Owen Hart. Then came the reformation of The Hart Foundation. Davey fought Owen in the finals to determine who would be the first European Champion in WWF history. The Bulldog won that match and became the first ever European champion. He held the title for 6 months before losing it to Shawn Michaels. The Bulldog would leave the WWF along with Bret and Jim Neidhart after the infamous "Screwjob in Montreal". They all headed to WCW. After not being as popular as he was in the WWF he came back to the WWF. He won the Hardcore Title and gave it to Al Snow. He was immeaditly back in the title hunt as he participated in the first ever 6-pack Challenge. After this things went somewhat downhill although at times he teamed with an up and coming Kurt Angle. Davey Boy then started having drug problems and was later released by the World Wrestling Federation. I'm sorry to say that Davey Boy Smith passed away recently. He will always be remembered as a great talent and one of the most powerful men to ever step into the squared circle.
